Is there any medicine that can relieve stress?
Q. I know natural things, such as lavender, (and I am allergic to most of them,) and I'm not looking for answers like alcohol or marijuana. The stress is borderline anxiety/depression (which I have a recent history of) and I don't want it to get to that point again. I am also willing to hear of anybodies relaxation methods/routines such as bathing with candles.

A. If you get totally stressed all the time go to your family dr. he or she can put you meds. that will help... And yes bathing in a big tub with lots of bubbles and candles works, it does for me... You could try listening to your favorite music, take a walk,, talk to a friend...Or plainly lay down in a quite room and relax, take a drive in the country side...

A. I'm so sorry that you are under so much stress. There are a few things you can do: 1. Take some meal replacements shakes while trying to get some small meals in. Sometimes eating smaller but more frequent meals helps us to still maintain our strength and enough nutrients. Try such replacements as slim-fast, Carnation instant breakfast, or some nutrition bars. 2. Try a healthy shake, such as with fruits and such. Try somethng that will taste good to you. This will give you the calories you need and taste good as well. 3. Supplement meals with a daily multivitamin also, this way you can have more nutrients. Good luck with it, but please try to eat healthy. I've been there and even though we are stressed we need to eat.

Does Bliss: Anti-Stress Formula have any complexity with anti-depressant or anti-anxiety medicine?
Q. It is reguarding the anxiety caused by depression. The doctor prescribed seroquel (150mg/day) and Remeron (30 mg/day). Seroquel has been taken for 1 month, but the anxiety is still strong. In this case, can bliss: anti-stress formula be helpful? Can it be taken together with other medicine without consulting the doctor?
Asked by noduplication - Fri Mar 14 15:57:05 2008 - - 2 Answers - 2 Comments

A. I've just started taking Bliss for my stress and anxiety. I started it two days ago, and so far it seems to be working, though it's subtle. It doesn't hit me like a drug, but I haven't felt anxious the way I normally do for the last couple of days, so I think it's doing the trick! Plus I feel good that it's an herbal supplement. I hope that helps, good luck! As for the two being taken together, I would ask the doctor just in case, or perhaps do some more research before mixing the two.

A. I believe the cultural dictum's you are living with an are part of you "belief system", are the root cause of all the issues you present in you question. You are psychologically "over loaded", and need to rest your mind. I would think that unrealistic demands are being placed on you, and have been for a very long time now. You must decide what future you want for yourself. Then go about creating that reality. That is you responsibility to you. Take everyone else out of the equation. Your life is yours, it was given to you by a higher power, so it would follow logically that that higher power has given you the intelligence to chose the road to travel.

A. To begin with, the most useful measure of any hair loss treatment may be found via the published scientific literature. The reason for this has to do with the strictly objective nature inherent in this body of work. However, let us step back a bit and consider the strengths and weaknesses of the options currently available to treat pattern hair loss. The first option is to do nothing and simply let nature take its course. The advantage here is that you are letting nature take its course. The disadvantage here is that you are also letting nature take its course. The second option is artificial hair replacement. Some people call these hair systems, or hair additions, or hair extensions. The thing they all have in common is that… [cont.]

Q. I am not currently taking any medications, but interested in having a medicine prescribed for some stress and depression problems, but do not want to risk damaging anything.
Asked by J. - Thu Nov 12 00:51:49 2009 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments

A. I've been on Lexapro and Xanax for almost 2 years. I have quit taking the xanax and only take it as needed in very low doses, as you cannot take it under any circumstances when you find out you're pregnant. The Lexapro, my doctor said to continue taking, until I discover I'm pregnant. Of course, it's best to not take anything, but in my case, the benefits outweigh the risk. If I were to stop Lexapro now, I might could cause an early miscarriage. My gynecologist said continue what I'm doing and "that people have to live their lives without worrying about meds". In other words, I shouldn't be worried about it before I'm pregnant. Good luck and I do suggest seeing your doctor about possibly getting something.

A. Over The Counter sleeping pills do the trick for me, as I too suffer from stress and can't sleep. Walgreens sells a over the counter pill called "sleep aid" you take 2 and it works like a charm, just make sure you have about 8 or 9 hours to devote to sleep!! Wal-Mart also sells a pill by the same name, give it a try!

What medicine would I take for exessive stress?
Q. I have been under tons of stress lately for personal reasons, and it is really affecting me. Long story short I am living in fear of somebody that I have a restraining order on, but is still a major threat to me. I am always tense, and in "flight or fight" mode with my adrenaline pumping. I am 18, and even though I am a young age I have slightly high blood pressure due to this stress. I have insomnia, and when I DO actually get sleep it is terrible because I grind my teeth, clench my jaw, have terrible nightmares, and even sleep with my eyes open sometimes. So basically I am under tons of stress. I ride my bike everyday and go on the occasional run, but that does alleviate it enough. What medicine would I want to take for this stress? … [cont.]

A. A change in situation would be ideal. If your about to go to college, then consider one far away, let the college administrators know about the stalking so you can enroll under another name. For the grinding teeth there are dental devices on the market. For high blood pressure, a low dose of a selective beta blocker along with a diuretic is fairly safe, and proven to prevent the long term risks of high blood pressure. The beta blockers that get into the brain can sometimes cause nightmares, Sectral does not get into the brain and is available as a generic. You need a doctor to evaluate this. Anti-anxiety meds tend to cause memory problems, and impair learning , work performance, and increase auto accident risks. For sleeping consider… [cont.]
