Association

How many radical friends and associations do you have?
Q. I just ran down a list of all my friends and colleagues and so far have found 0 fitting this description. I've had a few radical professors in college for one or two classes, but that was about it. I actually tried looking for radicals in my line of work and the social/professional circles I belong to and am having a hard time doing it. It makes me wonder how much of an effort one has to put out to obtain radical associations with anybody, let alone three or four individuals. Does anyone else have this problem?

A. I'm just an average guy, trying to make a living on the mean streets of a cold hard town. But even a lowly clod like myself has "associations" which could be considered of questionable character. People I've worked with at respectable businesses have been arrested for heinous crimes, I'm a customer of a former state Representative's side business and I attended a university where a well-known "activist" (not Ayers) teaches. It's all perspective.

How do I set associations in associations control panel?
Q. Sometimes I get e-mails with pics or videos that won't run and a message that there are no associations set for it. It says to set associans for it in associans control panel.Assoc. control panel? Where? what? how/

A. Start> Control Panel> Tools> Folder Options> File Types. Scroll down the list of file types and look for the extension of the file that you're trying to open. For pics it will be .jpg .gif .bmp etc, and there are a lot of video formats, .wmv .mov .flv .mpeg4 and so on. Just click on the file type then click on Change to choose the right program to open it with. If you save the attachment to your desktop but cannot see the file extension it's Start> Control Panel> Tools> Folder Options> View> then untick Hide File Extensions for Known File Types.
