How about transmitting a distress signal into space?
Q. So far we have only transmitted scientific messages into space (along with all of the other radio and TV signals). Interesting enough but it's not getting any attention. What about sending a distress signal? With all the problems facing the world, I think we could use some extra help. Any thoughts?

A. It would have to be a really powerful signal, to even become noticeable between the noise we produce and the noise created by the sun, when received a few light years away. Also, how should an alien civilization finally know, that we are calling for help? Most humans are not even capable of understanding animal body language, so what do you expect of other civilizations. Do you hope ignorance is only a human trait?

What does it mean when you are 3 months pregnant and your baby is in Distress?
Q. I have looked up Fetal Distress and is confused about the truth about it. One of my good friends just informed me that her baby is in Distress according to her doctor. She is currently in her 3rd month of her pregnancy. While researching it on the internet, it says that once a baby is in distress they must began labor but that was for someone who is about 38 to 42 weeks. Do anyone knows what may happen for someone 12 to 18 weeks pregnant?

A. She needs to ask more questions. I don't know how they can tell if a baby is in distress at 12 weeks. You can't really do extensive fetal monitoring as you would in later pregnancy. There is nothing they can do for a 12 week fetus if it's in distress. It will either continue to be distressed and possibly end up in miscarraige, or it will snap out of the distress. But I have never in my professional experience heard of any doctor being able to diagnose fetal distress in a 12 week fetus. Is it possible your friend is lying to you to get attention?

Can you ask for an appeal for the courses you've failed in College b/c of emotionally distress?
Q. I suffered emotional and psychological distress which made me go from a 3.7 GPA to a 1.67 GPA. I transferred to the community college and was still ill that I only received failings and a GPA of 1.9. They put me on academic probation but I want to appeal the grades do to my mental and emotional statis. Can you appeal the grades?

A. Most schools have a process like this in place. What you need to do is go to the schools website you earned those grades from and look for their catalog. It should be listed as "academic forgiveness" or something similar and will detail exactly what you need to do. If memory serves me correctly, the school I attended would forgive up to 3 semesters, but they had to have been earned several years ago and you couldn't select and choose the classes... they would forgive the whole semester even if you did get the occasional A in that semester.
